What jobs have you had?

My first job that I can recall was when my sister and I were helping a friend of my mom’s separate his receipts, before he did his taxes. Separate them I mean as the type they were, such as food receipts (anything food related), groceries receipts, and miscellaneous. It was quite nice, because in some way it kept. me and my sister busy, while mom helped him clean his house. It kept me and my sister busy in part so my sister and I would not be in the way of my mom doing her job. He did not pay us much, but it was nice that he gave me and my sister something to do the mean time. Another job that I’ve had, an actual job was registering people to vote. It was a fun job, I remember the first couple of days I started I got many people to register, as I was getting paid per person that got registered. I remember too that when I recently started, we were close to a Walmart. As of course anyone would do, I asked people about being or wanting to register to vote and such. The security company that Walmart hired which they never do much, were being buttholes, they were always so rude. They thought I was harassing people, or I don’t know what they thought I was doing. They always said they were going to call the police on me because I asked people to register to vote. I assume they thought it was wrong, or it may have seen suspicious to do so. I don’t know, but I did like it, I got to meet different types of people as well. The first gas station I ever worked at was an Arco AM/PM. And oh boy! Let me tell you it was rough as I was on my early 20’s. At that time all you want to do is party, drink and be a crazy wild thing. At that time was also when my boyfriend at the time and I were starting to live together and getting to know each other. At that time was when rent was cheaper than it is today. Since then, I have always worked at convenience stores and let me tell you! I’ve dealt with so many different types of people! Trust me that is no joke when people actually talk about the ‘Karens’ they are the most horrendous types of people I have ever dealt with. Or when people just come in angry for no reason at all or try to put the excuse of it’s really hot outside! That makes me really upset and angry I want to let it out on you as the cashier person! GGGRRR!!’ Also, when people got arrested by the cops right in from of me, and of course cops coming in asking if we have seen so and so person/s son j tall, wearing so and so. It was quite exiting!! I have worked at a food court as well, a burger place called San Genaro Burger at one of the casinos on the strip. It was fun, but one thing that did bothered me, was that I was hired to be a cashier, but I was put to do something else. I do not think it was, okay in any way at all. I did learn a lot though, that having been my first job at a ‘fast food restaurant’. It was very different for me overall. Though there were a few instances where I was cashier, and it was nice. I remember this one time I was attending customers at the register, and it was very late at night. This one person a guy, kept coming back to buy beer at the end of the night he spent almost $150 on beer just to ask me on a “date”. To me it was funny at the time to spend that much money only to ask someone out or something. Since then, I have always wondered why people have to rely on alcohol to have courage or have ‘fun’. If I was at a book store, coffee shop or even the library or even walking my dog why not aske me then, offer to buy me the book I seem to be interested in, and chat or buy me a cup of coffee and have a chat or something like that.
